Why Search Console clicks and GA4 sessions differ
Reconcile search clicks and website sessions by checking scope, URLs, timing and collection rather than forcing a match.
A search click and an Analytics session are different observations. One records interaction with a search result; the other depends on website measurement and session rules. Use them together to investigate a journey, while accepting that exact numerical equality is not the objective.

Align the site section, dates and search source. Google Search Console is not a report of all organic engines, so a broad organic segment in GA4 is not directly equivalent.
Map reported search URLs to landing pages carefully. Account for redirects and canonical variants without stripping parameters that materially change the content.
Investigate abrupt changes in the gap using tag deployment, consent behaviour and page availability. A stable difference needs a different response from a sudden measurement break.
Make it concrete.
After a consent update, measured sessions fall while search clicks remain similar. That pattern suggests checking collection and consent first; it does not establish that organic demand collapsed.

Timezones and session boundaries can move activity between daily buckets. Do not invent a correction multiplier just to make the two totals agree.
